Hello. Welcome to my website.

At the moment, I'm mainly writing for teenagers / young adults. I've written two novels called Absent and Spoilt (you can find out about them and read extracts here). I'm currently working on a non-fiction book. My agent is Eve White.

More about me:

I was born in one of the grimier suburbs of north-west London, but I'm not going to tell you when (I apparently look younger than this and want you to think I'm still with it and cool). I now live with a cute Croatian in London’s East End, surrounded by an increasing number of smelly building sites.

I was the first in my family to go to uni. I now have a portfolio career, which is a posh way of saying I have loads of jobs and enough email accounts to make my head nearly explode. Alongside writing, these include helping teenagers sort their lives out (which I've done for seventeen years) and managing personal development / training courses.

I have an MA in Creative Writing from Lancaster Uni. I once won i-D Magazine's Young Writer of the Year competition for my autobiography in 750 words (I still have nightmares about my mum seeing it). I used to be a music journalist for Mixmag. My first teenage novel, Spoilt, was longlisted for the Mslexia Children's Novel Competition. Absent is also currently doing well in a competition, but I'm not allowed to tell you about that (sorry).

In my spare time, I like running by the Thames, practising yoga (I'm actually a qualified yoga teacher) and watching psychedelic guitar bands in dingy basements (because I'm still with it and cool).
