Hello. Welcome to my website.
I mainly write for teenagers / young adults. I've written two novels called Absent and Spoilt (you can find out about them and read extracts here). I'm currently working on a non-fiction book for teenagers. My agent is Eve White.
More about me:
I was born in one of the grimier suburbs of north-west London and now live with a cute Croatian (aka my husband) in London’s East End, surrounded by an increasing number of smelly building sites.
I was the first in my family to go to uni. Since then, my work has mainly involved helping young people sort their lives out and reach their goals (I'm professionally qualified in advice and guidance). My current role involves helping young people get into top universities. I've also been a music journalist (mainly for Mixmag), managed personal development courses and taught yoga.
I have an MA in Creative Writing from Lancaster Uni. I once won i-D Magazine's Young Writer of the Year competition for my autobiography in 750 words (I still have nightmares about my mum seeing it). My teenage novels, Spoilt and Absent, were both recently longlisted for the Mslexia Children's Novel Competition.
In my spare time, I like running by the Thames, practising yoga and obsessively listening to underground '90s music.
